Basic account information for shoppers
Certain personal information is collected by Indieversa as part of the process for placing orders on behalf of shoppers. That information includes the customer name, email address, and phone number, as well as the details of orders placed. Customers who place orders for delivery services are also required to provide delivery addresses for those services. This information is shared with the Sellers from whom the shoppers placed orders. In the case of collaborative market listings, this information and order details may be shared with the coordinator of the market venue for which the order was placed, as well.
Your personal information will not be shared by Indieversa with third parties that are not directly related to your use of Indieversa. Although access to data collected by Indieversa is protected by reasonable, industry-standard security measures, we cannot assume any liability for personal data obtained by outside parties who may obtain such data without explicit permission.
Payments and credit cards
Third-party services, including Stripe, Square, Venmo, and PayPal, are used by Indieversa to enable critical features such as payment processing. When you place an order with a credit or debit card, secure connections are made between you and those payment service providers such that your detailed credit card information is not visible to Indieversa. However, when you make a purchase, your IP address, zip code, and other basic information about the computer hardware used to make the purchase are available to Indieversa and the Sellers from whom you purchased the item(s) for fraud-prevention reasons.
Cookies and other third-party services
Indieversa uses cookies to enable it to distinguish between users currently visiting the site, recognize return visitors, and improve your personal experience. Some third-party services are also used by Indieversa, such as Cloudflare, which tracks user behavior to help us spot bots and malicious actors, and Stripe, which tracks user behavior on Indieversa as part of its methods for identifying and preventing fraud. The cookies placed by Indieversa are not used to track your internet activity outside of Indieversa.
