Indieversa + the Indie Shopping Verse, Sellers, Coordinators, and Shoppers

Indieversa is a business that operates an ecosystem for online marketplaces. Sellers and Coordinators using Indieversa work together to create the local community shopping experience.

Indieversa provides the technology used by Sellers and Coordinators. That technology supports numerous business models, ranging from farms to restaurants, wholesale and retail businesses, delivery and venue hosting services, and second-hand sellers. The Indie Shopping Verse is a trademark owned by Indieversa which represents the collection of Super Communities hosted by Indieversa and all the Sellers and Coordinators contributing to them.

Sellers are the businesses and individuals listing products for sale or donation using Indieversa.

Coordinators are businesses and individuals listing venues at or through which Sellers make their products available. This might include farmers markets or home delivery services, for example.

Shoppers are everyone who browses and makes purchases using Indieversa.

Services Provided by Indieversa

Indieversa is a technology service provider to businesses and individuals looking to buy or sell goods and/or looking to provide delivery services or venue hosting services. The goods and services presented for sale via Indieversa are sold by third-party businesses, not Indieversa. Indieversa does not manage those businesses and does not act as intermediary other than for the explicit purpose of providing the technology used by those businesses in the operation of their businesses. Indieversa does not sell goods that it owns apart from Indieversa-branded merchandise. Indieversa enables payment processing as part of the services offered, but in each such case Indieversa's role is limited to providing technology that facilitates third parties such as Stripe, Square, and Venmo to perform those payment processing services for those vendors per their terms of use. Indieversa does not manage the merchant services accounts or the bank accounts of participating vendors.

Indieversa provides onboarding and troubleshooting support to the businesses using Indieversa. Indieversa does not directly control, preview, or approve the products listed by users. Indieversa is responsible for ensuring users do not list content that is prohibited by law or these terms of use and for removing such content and offending users within a reasonable amount of time.

Responsibilities of Sellers

Sellers must accept responsibility for truthfully representing their products and services and for knowing and adhering to the local laws that govern the advertisement and sale of their products and services. Sellers agree to indemnify Indieversa if it is sued or fined due to the Seller's actions.

Sellers will honor all sales agreed with other users. Sellers who cannot deliver the products or services as purchased by users will make reasonable effort to refund the purchase price paid by the user.

Sellers will accurately represent the products and services they offer.

Sellers will not list products or services for sale that contain graphic sexual or violent content.

Sellers will not list controlled substances that are illegal to the US federal government or which require a prescription unless they have explicit authorization by their local government.

Sellers authorize and direct Indieversa to use content which they publish to their account, including written, photographic, and video materials, both in the rendering of the services provided by Indieversa to the Sellers, as well as in public materials produced by Indieversa for the purposes of promoting those services.

Responsibilities of Coordinators

Coordinators are responsible for ensuring proper fulfillment of orders along with their participating Sellers.

Responsibilities of Shoppers

Shoppers must release Indieversa from concerns related to items sold by Sellers and services provided by Coordinators. Shoppers acknowledge that Indieversa does not manage or control the operations of Sellers and Coordinators and does not warrant the accuracy or quality of products and services offered by Sellers and Coordinators.

Shoppers agree to inform Indieversa of concerns arising from unlawful material presented by Sellers or Coordinators immediately by way of the Support link in the footer.

Security

Users are responsible for safeguarding their passwords and access to the email addresses that can be used to change a User’s password. Users are responsible for orders placed using their credentials, subject to the guidelines on order cancellations and refunds.

Regarding payments, credit card information is encrypted and sent to third-party payment processors directly such that Indieversa does not view or store any credit card information. Indieversa does have access to view transactions processed for online payments, but does not manage refunds on behalf of vendors.

Indieversa employs encryption and User access restrictions to protect access to User data. However, Indieversa cannot guarantee that it will never be the target of illicit hacking or fraud. Users agree to release Indieversa from any liability associated with the risk of nefarious activities by parties other than Indieversa.
